Computer Usage Rules

Purpose: Computers are strictly for educational and training purposes. Personal use, including gaming, browsing unrelated websites, or using social media, is prohibited unless permitted by the instructor.

Account Access: Students must use their assigned login credentials to access computers and are not permitted to share their accounts with others.

Prohibited Content: Accessing or downloading inappropriate, offensive, or unauthorized content is strictly forbidden and may result in disciplinary action.

Data Security: Students are required to save their work on personal storage devices or designated cloud platforms. Files saved on the institution’s computers may be deleted regularly.

Software Installation: Only authorized personnel may install or uninstall software on the computers. Students must not attempt to modify system settings or install personal software.

Care for Equipment: Handle all computer equipment, including keyboards, monitors, and mice, with care. Report any malfunctions or damages to the instructor immediately.

Food and Drinks: No food or drinks are allowed near computers or in the computer lab to prevent accidental spills and damage.

Usage Time: Adhere to designated computer usage times and vacate the workstation promptly when your session is complete or when instructed.

Internet Usage: Internet use must align with the course curriculum. Unauthorized streaming, downloading large files, or excessive bandwidth usage is prohibited.

Privacy: Students must respect the privacy of others by not attempting to access, modify, or delete files or accounts that do not belong to them.

Shutdown Protocol: Students are required to properly log out and shut down the computer after use to ensure system integrity and security.

Compliance: Non-adherence to these rules may result in restricted computer access, loss of privileges, or further disciplinary measures.
